This Shitfest in the Philippines
Okay, has the whole of the Christian religion turned to one giant bag of Wank?
I’m not saying this because I’m a huge fan of Lady Gaga, I’m defending the most beautiful woman in the world because this level of shit that a small handful of stupid, mindless and selfish Christians are throwing her way is becoming out of hand, and because I, like millions and millions of others, feel happy and amazing every single day because of everything she does and every song that she’s ever written.
If they could just all stop for a moment and think about what they’re doing.
If you don’t agree with something, don’t associate yourself with it. If you don’t like something, don’t choose it, don’t use it, and don’t abuse it - what’s the point? If you’d bother to gather some common knowledge, you’d be ashamed of yourself.
Think about it - Lady Gaga is a beautiful, young, successful woman, who’s artistic, creative, entertaining, musical, and above all, a person with such a raw, pure talent, for everything that she does. And that’s hard to come by in just one person.
From just 4 years old she knew what she wanted to do, and she hasn’t stopped working to break through to this dream in the years since. She isn’t a devil, she’s a role model - she never stopped, she balanced three jobs at once just to pay for getting to the place she wanted to be, and when everything crashed around her she didn’t sob or mope; she just carried on doing it all over again.
And it was all worth it. Now she is the most amazing inspirational superstar in the eyes of billions, and a sign of hope and happiness in the eyes of millions everywhere.
^ Is that satanic? Is it blasphemous or disrespectful?
The fact that a small gaggle of religious individuals are not only trying to force their religion on the rest of the world, but are also trying to ruin the happiest stretch of time in this woman’s life? Do they not realise that not everyone is Christian? Not everyone has Christian views and not everyone agrees with the Christian faith - not everyone has, needs or wants a religion, because religion is an optional way of life that you can - and should - take on your own. It’s something you decide for yourself, not something you use to decide for everyone else what happens and what doesn’t. If this group of Christians or Catholics or whoever they are are too stupid to realise that not everyone thinks the way they do, then they are free to not attend the Born This Way Ball.
No-one is forcing them to attend like they’re trying to force a wedge of their religious reasoning into the middle of people’s lives. That’s what free will is for. Everyone attending is choosing to attend, because they love this woman and this artist, and that’s a love that no religion or march, or fucking vigil can render outlawed.
Fucking sort it out.
